Application Process
The funds for this program have been exhausted for BCL from the City of San Marcos Utility Assistance Program. However, there are other three organizations that may have funding: Salvation Army, Community Action and Communities in Schools.
- Click Utility_Payment_Assistance_Application.pdf to complete the application. The application is fillable .pdf file. Complete it, sign it, and save it.
Once you have completed your application, gather the following required documents:
- Identification: This may include driver’s license, passport, Enhanced Library card, US Military ID or Veteran ID Card (VIC), or other Government Issued ID
- Proof of Income (s): This may include check stubs (weekly-4 stubs, bi-weekly-2 stubs, monthly-1 check stub; Self-employment-bank statement or P&L statement, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Military pay documentation
- Provide a written economic hardship letter/statement, including name, date, HH size and signature.
- Recent utility billing statement
- Email your applications and required documents to sanmarcosutility@bcloftexas.org
Eligibility
- You must be a resident of San Marcos with City of San Marcos utility services to be eligible.
- Households’ income at or below 250% of the federal poverty level OR households that include at least one member who is: 60 years or older, Disabled, A Military Veteran, and/or A child under the age of five
