Last week, the City of Austin proclaimed November 21st, 2024 to be ROSA RIOS VALDEZ DAY! Many members of the BCL of Texas family were on hand to see the Austin City Council present a proclamation recognizing Rosa’s impressive 34 year tenure as President and CEO. We are so proud that the city paid tribute to a community leader who has dedicated her life to helping improve the lives of countless individuals throughout our state. Rosa worked to ensure that economically disadvantaged communities are not left behind, and her commitment to financial capability and support for underserved individuals will remain a guiding force for our team. Finally, a special thank you to Austin City Council Member Paige Ellis for her presentation of today’s proclamation.
